Moldy-chan.
Oh yes, I went for the obnoxious cliché.
Getting out my feelings pt2

Movies - Back to the Future - Twin Pines
Politics.

I have opinions - sometimes my opinions are not popular, and it scares the poop out of me when it's not because I'm afraid people are gonna assassinate me because I think certain things should have been handled differently - or that I completely disagree with them altogether (although, I highly doubt that).

Personally, I don't like to talk about them with friends unless we can be nice about it.  Even then, I'm uncomfortable with it because I'm afraid I'm shoving my opinion down their throat or vice versa.

However, there are sometimes where there is the need to put my personal convictions aside and stand up for what I believe in, like SOPA for instance.

But after that, I feel so tired of it.  And so oppressed because I can't voice my unpopular opinions in fear of being ridiculed and called "stupid".  What happened to the time that said "everyone's opinion is valid"?  What happened in between then and now?  Everyone is all for equal rights, but apparently they're not for the people who occasionally disagree with them.

Ah, such is life.

People that say "your opinions are stupid" are usually people with opinions that aren't valid at all (aka backed by completely erroneous facts). In those cases, whip out some facts and quietly shove them down those jackasses throat and then walk away.

People are entitled to their own opinions, and yeah there are always going to be haters.

Frankly, I get tired of people shooting down my opinions as well, so the least we can do is not be like the haters that don't like our opinions.

Oh my gosh! You don't how ironic it is that you're posting this. Just last Saturday my coworkers got into an "issues" debate. I was determined to keep my mouth closed because I knew that I have completely opposite views and I didn't want to get into that.
Well...I was dragged in against my will and it suddenly became an "attack Cynthia" free-for-all. Me against everyone else. It was bad.
I totally understand where you're coming from.

I totally get the feeling of just wanting to keep your mouth shut to avoid drama. I'll voice my opinions to my loved ones when it counts (i.e. when they're being a jerk to someone else) but I also feel there are times where I feel its better to just to go "hmm" until the person moves on to a safer topic.
